Nominate a Youth Council Member

Youth Council members are appointed by the Western Virginia Workforce Development Board to represent a specific constituency as outlined in the Workforce Investment Act. Appointments are for three years or less if the individual is filling an uncompleted term for a previous member.

Anyone living or working in Virginia Local Workforce Investment Area III (the cities of Covington, Roanoke and Salem, and the counties of Alleghany, Botetourt, Craig, Franklin and Roanoke) may nominate a member for existing or upcoming vacancies on the Western Virginia Workforce Development Board's Youth Council. Contact the Board office for information on available positions.

Nominations must be made on the official nomination form (PDF) and submitted at least a month in advance of consideration by the Western Virginia Workforce Development Board. Nomination forms may be mailed, faxed, or e-mailed, but a hard copy with an original signature must be on file with the Board.
